Praises:

1. All seven of our seniors graduated and have great things lined up for their future studies or careers!
2. Successful school trips (mission trip, community service, field trips and more!)
3. Church life in La Paz is an incredible blessing.
4. All the new staff for next year have been hired. This is a HUGE praise and not something that can be said every year - I myself was a late hire.
5. God provided a job for me over the summer.

Requests:

1. Rest this summer - physically, mentally and socially. This also includes spending time with family.
2. Wisdom as I make decisions about next year - do I continue to serve in Bolivia or do I seek another situation?
3. Wisdom in relationships.
4. Highlands students and families over the summer.
5. California's drought!

Reasons to Praise

1. I signed on to stay for a 3rd year at Highlands.
2. First semester was bathed in prayer and grace!
3. Our Tuesday night Bible study continues to be a wonderful community of fellowship.
4. Spiritual Emphasis Week in November was fruitful and many of the students who made decisions for Christ are being discipled.
5. Growing understanding of God's vision.

Things to Pray For

1. This second semester would have a spirit of peacefulness as the calendar is full of holidays and trips.
2. The leadership and congregation at La Paz Community Church would be strong as we weather this season without a lead pastor.
3. God's leading in our discipleship group with 11th grade girls.
4. Gods provision (this looks like a lot of things....wisdom, health, finances, strong relationships, etc.)
5. Roommates and our life together.

June 2014

Things to Pray For

1. My vacation time would be filled with rest, wise preparations for next year and fulfilling time with people around me.
2. Those associated with HIS would be blessed during their vacations, especially as they travel.
3. The new staff for the 2014-2015 school year would be able to transition well during these remaining weeks of vacation.
4. The hearts and minds of our students, even when (especially since?) they aren't in school.
5. My time at Pre-Field Orientation would be enriching and help equip me for further service.

Reasons to Praise

1. The school year ended well.
2. I returned safely to the Bay Area for vacation.
3. I get to meet new people at Pre-Field Orientation in Southaven, Mississippi.
4. Time with family and friends is precious, as is California sunshine!
5. I can stay connected to friends and students from La Paz with technology.
